Cooking Through the Zombie Apocalypse

It’s October, which means it’s time for some spookiness! On today’s episode Lauren Wilson, author of The Walking Dead: The Official Cookbook and Survival Guide, stops by to talk about cooking through the zombie apocalypse. If you are a fan of the mega-hit show Walking Dead on AMC, then you absolutely need to check this out.

The first chapter of the book is full of all sorts of useful survival tips if you should ever face down the end of the world; how to put together a “bug-out” bag, making fire, catching wild game, even how to find emergency sources of power in the wasteland in case you need to charge up the iPad. The remainder of the book is filled with carefully crafted recipes that pull heavily from the show’s first seven seasons (season eight premiers this month). The show is a surprisingly deep source of food and recipe inspiration! Fans of the Walking Dead, or the zombie genre in general, will find a lot to love about this book.
