Cooked Fire

Cooked Episode 1: “Fire”

Today we are doing something a little different on the show. Based on listener feedback I’ve been checking out the Netflix documentary “Cooked” by Michael Pollan. You’ve probably heard me mention this documentary on a few recent episodes. I’ve recruited Seth Heasley to watch the documentary as well and then join me to discuss each episode. Today we bring you Episode 1: Fire. We plan on recording for each of the other three episodes, so stay tuned.

We cover a lot of ground in this episode and below I’ll put a laundry list of resources and links we mention in the show. You don’t necessarily need to watch Cooked to enjoy this episode, but if you have time and access to Netflix I recommend you catch the first episode, “Fire.” You’ll get a lot more out of our conversation!

You can find Cooked on your favorite Netflix app or check out the official website.

Seth Heasely is the creator behind the Hugos There podcast, where he reads the Hugo Award winners one guest at a time. I was lucky enough to join him for the Ray Bradbury Fahrenheit 451 episode! Seth is also part of the excellent Take Me to Your Reader podcast, where he and friends discuss science fiction book/movie/etc. adaptations. Seth also joined me on the Kitchen Counter Podcast for Chili-Cast, Episode 84.
