Murder, She Baked

For this episode I had the pleasure to speak with author Ellie Alexander about her Bakeshop Mystery series. Ellie writes mysteries that take place around a family-owned bakery in Ashland, Oregon. Her work is a great balance between mystery and food writing, and I really enjoyed her latest work, “On Thin Icing.” In fact, my wife and I made a few of the recipes she shares in her books and we loved them. Inspiration can be found anywhere!

We had a fantastic time talking about writing, creativity, baking and cooking, and I hope you enjoy the conversation!

For more information on Ellie Alexander, visit bakeshopmystery.com. Look for her books at your local independent bookseller, or if you can’t get there in person, you can visit Ellie’s page on Amazon.

Check out the awesome bakery where Ellie and I sat down to record our conversation (their macarons are really phenomenal). Farina Bakery is located in SE Portland Oregon.
