Quick Fix: Butterscotch Sauce

Butterscotch Sauce

Are you ready for a super simple but deeply satisfying butterschotch sauce? One you can drizzle on ice cream, dip apples into, pour on cake, or just eat right out of the jar? Then carry on!

Ingredients:
1/2 stick (4 Tbsp) unsalted butter
1/2 cup Heavy whipping Cream
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp kosher or flaky sea salt
1 tsp vanilla extract

Heat a sauce pan over medium heat. Add butter and melt. Add whipping cream, brown sugar and salt, and bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, then remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Pour butterscotch into a separate container to cool. Store in fridge in jar with lid for up to a week (if it can even last that long!).
