I’m back with a whole new set of cooking myths! Like I did way back in episode 9 (7 Cooking Myths Exposed), I’m not just going to tell you straight away what is a myth. I’m going to make a little true/false game of it. Here are the questions: Listen to the episode and play along–and no googling for answers!

1. You should put hot leftovers in the fridge as soon as you can (rather than letting them cool).
2. Putting avocado pits in your guacamole will keep it from turning brown.
3. Adding oil to pasta cooking water will prevent the pasta from sticking together.
4. When mixing your own mustard, the colder the water you use, the hotter the finished mustard will be.
5. There is no difference in the nutritional value between organic and conventional produce.
6. Adding potato to over salted soups or stews will make them less salty.
7. Chicken eggs that are unsafe to eat will float in water.
