For today’s Quick Fix episode I want to talk about a ridiculously easy method for making homemade whipped cream that will blow away anything you can find in the store in a tube, tub, or can. This will go great with all your holiday baking goodies. Also be free to experiment with flavors in the cream. Want a peppermint whipped cream? Substitute in peppermint extract instead of vanilla, for example. Before long you will be making homemade whipped cream all the time!
Remember to use either whipping v=cream (30% milk fat) or heavy whipping cream (36% milk fat) for the best results.
- 1 Cup Heavy whipping cream
- 3 Tbsp Granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- Combine all ingredients into a metal mixing bowl. Whip with a wire whisk until the cream gets to the soft peak stage (about 5 minutes). Enjoy! Can be made up to two hours in advance.
